Columbia Hospitality adds Henry Christopher Hotel to Wisconsin portfolio

Columbia Hospitality has been selected to manage the Henry Christopher Hotel, a restored landmark property set to open in 2027 in downtown Plymouth, Wis.

The hotel is being developed within the renovated H.C. Laack Block building and plans call for a collection of guestrooms, all-day hospitality offerings and public spaces. Seattle, Wash.-based Columbia Hospitality will oversee operations for the hotel and food & beverage outlets.

“Henry Christopher Hotel represents the opportunity to join the history and community of the area with a vision of thoughtful design and warm hospitality,” Louie Gentine, representing the Gentine family, which owns the hotel, said in a statement. “We look forward to bringing this project to life and welcoming guests.”

“Our partnership with Henry Christopher Hotel offers an exciting opportunity for Columbia Hospitality to expand our hospitality values in Wisconsin,” said James Oppenheimer, vp, business development at Columbia Hospitality. “Together, we will create a destination that brings exceptional guest experiences and celebrates the history of the region.”

The project will introduce two food-and-beverage concepts: Pharmacy, a street-level restaurant drawing inspiration from the building’s former apothecary, and The Mullet, which will be Plymouth’s first rooftop bar. Pharmacy is intended to highlight the site’s history through its design and menu approach, while The Mullet will offer views of downtown Plymouth, the Mullet River, and Stayer Park, along with outdoor seating and late-night fare.
