Club Med, hotels appoint sales, marketing leaders

A number of hotels, as well as Club Med, have appointed sales and marketing leaders in recent weeks. Here are some names to know. 

Club Med

Club Med has appointed Michelle Catin vice president of marketing and Frank Corzo as vice president of sales strategy for North America.

Catin brings nearly two decades of hospitality and travel expertise to the role with a background in brand marketing, digital strategy, and public relations. Most recently a strategic consultant for leading hospitality brands, Catin previously was Senior Director of Marketing at Palace Resorts. 

Corzo joins with more than 25 years of sales leadership in tourism and hospitality. Most recently vice president of sales for North America at Karisma Hotels & Resorts, he launched a preferred-partner program and modernized B2B booking operations. Earlier, he spent more than a decade at Palace Resorts leading U.S. field sales. 

Civana Wellness Resort & Spa

Just outside of Scottsdale, Ariz., Civana Wellness Resort & Spa appointed Eden Campbell its new director of brand marketing. 

Campbell’s career spans entertainment, sports and wellness, where she has led social strategy, partnerships, and creator programs for brands including BuzzFeed, Epic Games’ Fortnite, and the Phoenix Suns. 

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa

In Hawaii, the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa appointed Richard Taylor its new director of sales and marketing. Taylor joins the team after a stint at Hyatt Regency Vancouver, where he achieved historic revenue milestones and substantial market share growth. 

With more than 13 years of experience in hospitality sales, marketing, and events management, Taylor has overseen teams both in domestic and transnational markets. Before Hyatt, he held executive roles at the Pinnacle Hotel Vancouver Harbourfront, as well as the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel. He has a Master’s of Science in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the Payne School of Business at San Diego State University.

JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort

The JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort appointed Brittany Matthews as its new director of sales and marketing. 

Matthews has overseen commercial performance for 73 Select Brand hotels across the Southeast, managing a portfolio exceeding $600 million in revenues. She also led sales for the dual-brand JW Marriott and Tampa Marriott Water Street, steering the resort through a major renovation and rebranding process and launched the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street in December 2020. She has worked across Marriott’s Select, Premium, and Convention/Resort segments.

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego has appointed David MacLean as director of sales and marketing amid a propertywide renovation slated for completion in winter 2026. 

MacLean joined Hyatt in 2012 and quickly rose through the ranks, leading sales teams at several major city and resort properties. He was director of sales and marketing at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and later co-chaired Hyatt’s Resort Alliance, representing 20 properties across North America, and collaborated closely with Hyatt Salesforce on strategic group initiatives and global account partnerships. Most recently, MacLean was cluster director of commercial services for Grand Hyatt Bali, Hyatt Regency Bali and Andaz Bali, where he managed sales operations across the three properties.

Wild Dunes Resort

Lindsay Dupont has rejoined the sales team at the Wild Dunes Resort, a Destination by Hyatt property, as national group sales manager. 

Dupont has more than 14 years of experience at Wild Dunes Resort, having held a variety of leadership roles across multiple departments, including banquet manager, conference services manager, national sales manager and—most recently—director of banquets.
