Hotels across the U.S. and Canada appointed sales and marketing leaders in recent weeks. Here are some names to know.
Cypress Inn
Cypress Inn, a historic property in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., appointed Dawn Aronson director of sales. Aronson studied Business Administration at the University of Arizona before moving to Monterey, Calif., in 1989.
She served for 12 years in the California Air National Guard at Moffett Field as an administrative specialist with the 129th Rescue Squadron. She later established her own business as a global account executive and meeting planner with ConferenceDirect, overseeing high-level events across California and beyond. Her career includes leadership roles at Sanctuary Beach Resort, Hyatt Place Santa Cruz and Carmel Mission Inn. Most recently, she was senior sales manager at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds.
Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas
The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, appointed James Keaveny director of sales. In his position, Keaveny will oversee the sales team, managing group travel bookings as well as leisure travel experiences.
Keaveny began his career with posts at several Hyatt properties in San Francisco and Dallas. His most recent position was the senior director of group amd leisure sales at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, Calif., where he oversaw both group and extended-stay revenue opportunities.
Sheraton Denver Downtown
The Sheraton Denver Downtown, a Sheraton Halo property, has made several additions to its sales and marketing team.
Valerie Swindle is the new senior marketing manager. She has more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing, and most recently worked at the Renaissance Dallas where she was the senior marketing manager for three years. During this time, she partnered with various Marriott hotels in the area, assisting with their marketing efforts.
Chaelynn (Chae) Pacheco has been appointed director of group sales. Starting in culinary and event management, she worked as a catering sales executive and property sales. Pacheco was account executive with Marriott’s Homes & Villas platform and also was premium & luxury sales specialist assisting in the closing and building group at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, St. Regis Atlanta, and the Ritz-Carlton Boston. Most recently, she was area sales leader, managing seven MSB West hotels in Colorado and California, securing $4 million in group sales business in 2024.
Brandan Alcorn has joined the team as a senior sales executive, most recently holding the same role at the Hilton Denver City Center. He has held several sales management roles in Denver with Le/Meridien/AC Hotel Denver Downtown and Crestline Hotels & Resorts.
St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort
The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort in Miami Beach, Fla., appointed Jordan Ben-Hanania director of marketing. Ben-Hanania joins the resort from Four Seasons Hotel Denver, where he was director of public relations and communications.
Before his time in Denver, Ben-Hanania was digital marketing manager at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Wyo., where he developed and executed campaigns across paid search, social, metasearch and SEO. His work also included developing guest programming, creating content and managing strategic partnerships.
St. Regis Toronto
The St. Regis Toronto appointed Ashish Menon director of sales and marketing. After completing his MBA in Hospitality Marketing from Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, Menon began his hospitality career with Marriott International in Dubai, working in front office operations before moving into sales leadership roles.
He has worked in key global markets including Canada and the Middle East, with senior leadership positions at The Hazelton Hotel, Hilton, Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, The Oberoi, Fairmont Hotels and Emaar Hospitality Group.
