Craig Sullivan—founder of the California Lodging Investment Conference (CLIC)—has launched a new interview-driven platform known as [CLIC] Media, which is designed to cover national hospitality topics.
The first episodes of its flagship program, Continental Lodging Investment Conversations & Connections—known as [CLIC] Connect—are now available. Suzanne D. Markham Bagnera will serve as director and producer of the series.
“With the launch of [CLIC] Media, we are taking the same in-depth focus we applied to the California hospitality market and expanding it to a national focus,” he said. “Perhaps more so than at any other time during my 30 years in the hotel industry, there’s a real need for information that comes straight from the source.”
CLIC Connect is filmed on location around the country and in the company’s Newport Beach, Calif. studio. Early guests have included Sarah Howard, CEO of Edenburg Hospitality and Rachel Humphrey, founder and chair of the Women in Hospitality Leadership Alliance.
Sullivan has spent more than three decades in hospitality, contributing to underwriting and closing nearly $25 billion in hotel transactions. He has been active in hospitality media, co-hosting and co-producing Check Out California, a tourism radio show on OCTalkRadio that later relaunched as a video series.
Bagnera—who has more than 25 years of experience in hotel operations—will oversee all new programming produced under the [CLIC] Media umbrella. She is an assistant professor at Florida International University’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, where she directs lodging instruction and oversees Hospitality Executive Education.
“Having worked with Craig in the past, I know first-hand the energy and enthusiasm he brings to each show, and I look forward to being part of that,” Bagnera said.
