Reset Hotel—a 65-room boutique located in Twentynine Palms, Calif.—has opened near the north entrance of Joshua Tree National Park.
The hotel—co-founded by Adam Wininger, Shannon Ching and Sumeet Parekh of HP Investors and designer Benjamin Uyeda—is the first ground-up hotel to be built in the area in over 15 years. Gry Space led both the spatial and interior design of Reset.
“Reset is about more than just a place to stay; it's the feeling that we want our guests to experience during and after their stay,” Wininger said in a statement. “By bringing this retreat to the Joshua Tree National Park area we're inviting guests to slow down, disconnect from their phones and their day-to-day lives and reconnect with nature."
Each of the 65 rooms features its own private patio, as well as their own Solo stove, lounge chairs and stargazing platform. Curated amenities include Flamingo Estate bath products, Fellow pour-over coffee stations and Jolie filtered shower heads, while select rooms feature outdoor soaking subs.
The hotel also has a 1,600-square-foot saltwater pool and jacuzzi surrounded by built-in cabanas, lounge chairs and shaded zones. The pool area is designed for restoration and calm with natural textures, neutral tones and sculptural forms that reflect the high desert terrain, according to the company.
Other hotel amenities include a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse with co-working space, café, retail and a communal fire pit; a high-desert bistro; and wellness-focused activities such as saunas, cold plunges, yoga, breathwork and other desert-inspired programming.
