Hyatt Hotels Corporation has expanded its adults-only, all-inclusive Secrets Resorts & Spas brand with the opening of a new property in Cancun, Mexico.
The Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa continues the luxury brand’s growth across Latin America and the Caribbean, following the recent launches of Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, Secrets Baby Beach Aruba and Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa. Located eight miles from Cancun International Airport, the new resort sits between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupté Lagoon.
“With a prime location on a serene stretch of beach on Cancun’s Hotel Zone and close access to the region’s rich history, we look forward to having our guests relax, reconnect and immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of the Yucatan,” General Manager Federico Echaiz said in a statement.
The resort features 487 rooms and suites designed with a modern coastal aesthetic, blending natural textures, handcrafted décor and contemporary comforts. Accommodations showcase views of the ocean, lagoon or tropical gardens. The Preferred Club includes a swim-out, plunge-pool and oceanfront suite categories, along with access to a private oceanfront lounge, rooftop Sky Bar, infinity pool and an à la carte breakfast venue.
Food and beverage programming includes eight restaurants offering French, Mediterranean, Asian and steakhouse concepts without reservations. Six bars and lounges—ranging from a swim-up bar to a sushi bar to a nightly music lounge—serve premium spirits and offer interactive components such as cocktail-making classes.
Guests have access to six pools with panoramic views, including two pools and an oceanfront hot tub reserved for Preferred Club guests. Meanwhile, the property’s full-service Secrets Spa is set to open at a later date and will feature Mayan-inspired rituals, healing treatments and a tranquil pool environment. The property also offers a 2,800-square-foot ballroom, a 967-square-foot pre-function space and multiple indoor and outdoor venues.
The resort has implemented sustainability initiatives that emphasize community engagement and environmental responsibility. Efforts include soap recycling, plastic bottle cap collection to benefit local health organizations, community-based recycling programs and a commitment to local sourcing in both culinary offerings and art.
