Development and design firm Method Co. is expanding its footprint westward with plans for ROOST Rainey, a new 59-key apartment hotel opening in Austin in early winter 2025.
The Austin debut marks the boutique, extended-stay ROOST apartment hotel brand’s first entry into Texas and its eighth location nationwide since launching in 2014. The project is being developed in partnership with Austin-based LV Collective and will occupy floors 14–17 of Paseo, a 48-story mixed-use tower at 80 Rainey Street.
“We’re thrilled to bring the ROOST apartment hotel experience to Austin, marking not only our debut in Texas but also our farthest expansion west to date,” Randall Cook, co-founder and CEO of Philadelphia-based Method Co., said in a statement. “Austin’s creative energy and strong sense of community align perfectly with the ROOST ethos, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner than LV Collective to help bring our vision to life within the Paseo development.”
Designed collaboratively by LV Collective and Method Studios, ROOST Rainey will have a mix of furnished studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartment-style units, each equipped with a full kitchen, in-unit laundry, curated furnishings and access to 24-hour concierge service.
Guests will have access to Paseo’s shared amenities, including a 12th-floor pool deck overlooking Lady Bird Lake with bar service, a fitness center featuring reformer Pilates and yoga studios, cold plunges, saunas and two floors of co-working space with private pods and conference rooms. The development’s Artist in Residence Program will offer additional on-site cultural programming and events.
ROOST Rainey also has developed an emerging food-and-beverage lineup, including Daydreamer Café on the ground floor, the upscale Mediterranean concept Amaya and a Italian steakhouse slated for 2026.
