Namron Hospitality debuts 10-room hacienda on Mexico’s East Cape

Namron Hospitality has debuted La Valise Los Cabos, its second opening in Baja California Sur this year and the fifth property in the brand’s flagship La Valise collection.

Located on a stretch of the East Cape in Mexico, the 10-room hideaway is 25 miles from San José del Cabo. Set across 12 acres of preserved desert landscape overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the hotel was originally built as a private family retreat. La Valise Los Cabos joins sister properties in Tulum, Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and Mazunte.

The founders of the property molded tiles by hand, mixed their own cement, carved woodwork on-site and locally forged the iron details. The property highlights a collection of rare art and artifacts sourced from Mexico and around the world—including pieces by American painter Thomas Hart Benton, a carved table once owned by Mark Twain and architectural elements salvaged from the Jack Warner Estate in Beverly Hills.

Artistic details throughout the property include sculptural motifs on the grounds, a fountain hiding a whimsical tiled creature, statues at the entrance and a hand-tiled marlin in the cliffside pool. The living room ceiling has painted angels while painted ivy adorns the walls.

Each suite has views of the Sea of Cortez, where migrating whales can be seen offshore. Interiors feature fireplaces and hand-crafted furniture. A second phase of development will add two more suites.
