Azul Hospitality Group has assumed management of two downtown Seattle properties—the Hotel Theodore and the Mayflower Park Hotel—as part of a partnership with Provenance Hotels and NBP Capital.
The 153-room Hotel Theodore—an Art Deco property in the city center—is slated to join Hilton’s Tapestry Collection this fall. The hotel features a coffee café, the Rider restaurant and locally focused programming tied to Seattle’s history of innovation and craftsmanship.
The Mayflower Park Hotel—which opened in 1927—is a member of Historic Hotels of America. The 160-room property includes Oliver’s Lounge and is redeveloping its Andaluca restaurant into Reserve at Andaluca, a private event space with a jazz supper club and community programming.
“These are the type of high-potential assets where Azul creates meaningful value for ownership,” Mark Crisci, president of San Diego, Calif.-based Azul Hospitality, said in a statement. “Our focus will be on optimizing operational performance, enhancing topline revenue and preserving the distinct identities that make these hotels stand out in the Seattle market.”
Lauren Noecker, CEO and co-founder of NBP Capital, added that Azul’s approach “made them the right choice for these properties.”
