Embassy Suites by Hilton Birmingham has completed a comprehensive renovation that included the refresh of its guest suites, public spaces and meeting areas.
The 242-suite property—owned by Bethesda, Md.-based RLJ Lodging Trust and managed by Hilton—is minutes from downtown and near the Birmingham Zoo, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and the Birmingham Museum of Art.
“Birmingham’s tourism landscape continues to grow and thrive, welcoming visitors to discover all the city has to offer; our renovations are perfectly timed to support the destination’s momentum,” Brandon Claypool, general manager of Embassy Suites by Hilton Birmingham, said in a statement. “We’ve completely revitalized every aspect of the hotel to meet the evolving needs of today’s travelers, creating a welcoming home base that reflects both the vibrant spirit and warm hospitality of our dynamic city.”
All two-room suites have been updated with modern furnishings, enhanced lighting, new carpeting and curated décor. A palette of deep blues and grays accented with burnt orange is designed to reflect the energy of Birmingham, while artwork featuring the iconic Alabama Theatre looks to add a local touch.
The hotel’s atrium and lobby got contemporary seating and a redesigned front desk intended to streamline the check-in experience. The property’s 5,100 square feet of meeting and event space has been enhanced with new carpeting, lighting, wall treatments and abstract artwork. Conference rooms now feature large wood tables and leather executive chairs, while the ballroom is furnished with navy and silver seating. Ruth’s Chris Steak House continues to exclusively cater all meetings and events.
Additional upgrades include enhancements to the indoor pool—which now offers new loungers and seating—and a revitalized fitness center complete with new flooring, paint, modern exercise equipment, free weights and a Peloton Bike.
