Homewood Suites in Orlando enters final phase of $6 million renovation

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Lake Buena Vista – Orlando is in the final stages of a $6 million renovation to upgrade all guestrooms and public spaces.

Operated by Norwalk, Conn.-based HEI Hotels & Resorts, the extended-stay hotel has completely refurbished all suites and most of the public areas. The final phase of the renovation includes all new furnishings, lighting, artwork and flooring in the lobby and breakfast area.

“With the average Orlando visitor often staying for a week or more, a refreshed extended-stay hotel is an ideal accommodation for visitors seeking longer-term alternatives,” Duane Winjum, area general manager, said in a statement. “This renovation touched on virtually every aspect of the hotel, from guest rooms to hallways to the pool and fitness area, bringing it to ‘like-new’ status.”

Suites got new soft and hard goods throughout, including new carpeting, walls, tiles, curtains, valances and artwork. Each kitchen got new cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, stovetops and dining furniture. Living rooms now feature new furniture, televisions, and sofa-bed sleepers, while bathrooms were upgraded with new vanities, wallpaper, sinks and faucets. Bedrooms were outfitted with new televisions, furniture and additional outlets and charging ports.

The hotel is a 10-minute drive to both Walt Disney World and SeaWorld, and directly across the highway from the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24/7 fitness center, outdoor pool and daily breakfast. The property also has a newly remodeled guest laundry room with brand-new washers and dryers.
