Procaccianti Companies has revealed that the Hyatt Regency Lexington will undergo a significant renovation and reinvestment aimed at elevating the Kentucky hotel’s full-service offerings.
The redevelopment—approved through Kentucky’s Tourism Development Incentive Program—represents a major reinvestment in the downtown Lexington hotel. Set to begin next summer, the renovation will encompass every aspect of the 366-room property. TPG Hotels & Resorts will continue to manage the property, while TPG Development & Construction will oversee the renovation from planning through completion.
“The Hyatt Regency Lexington serves as a critical anchor within the downtown corridor, and this renovation will ensure the property continues to meet the expectations of today’s business and leisure travelers while supporting the city’s growth and broader revitalization efforts,” Ralph Izzi Jr., VP of public affairs for Cranston, R.I.-based Procaccianti Companies, said in a statement.
Plans call for a full refresh of all guestrooms and corridors, an enhanced lobby and public areas, a reimagined restaurant and bar, the addition of a modern grab-and-go marketplace and an expanded fitness center. The upgrades are designed to enhance the guest experience while complementing the hotel’s existing amenities, including meeting and event space and direct covered access to both Rupp Arena and the Central Bank Center.
