Kohler Hospitality is progressing with a major renovation and expansion of Wisconsin's Inn on Woodlake, which will add 66 new guestrooms as well as an entertainment center.
The existing three-diamond Inn on Woodlake—which opened in 1994—will remain fully operational throughout construction, with completion expected in June 2027. When finished, the Wisconsin luxury hotel will offer a total of 203 rooms, including two- and four-bedroom suites.
“The reimagined Inn on Woodlake and its new entertainment district give us the chance to go further—creating lively, inclusive spaces that bring fresh energy to the resort while fostering a stronger sense of belonging for our guests, Kohler associates, and village residents alike,” Nina Kohler, strategy and design consultant for Kohler Hospitality, said in a statement.
The Inn on Woodlake expansion will add three stories of new accommodations and introduce a golf- and activity-focused entertainment center complete with a bar and restaurant. Planned outdoor improvements include a redesigned hotel entrance, enhanced landscaping, new hardscaping and a large stone-paved promenade and patio overlooking Wood Lake.
The project follows several recently completed upgrades, including the refreshed five-star Kohler Waters Spa, the reimagined Greenhouse garden café at The American Club, improvements at Whistling Straits golf course and the launch of The Lost Sheep food truck.
Additional projects already in progress include Purebred Farm, a forthcoming 14-hole golf course; The Serve, a new racquet sports complex; the wellness-focused Woodlake Market; and the renovation of The Carriage House at The American Club Resort Hotel.
