The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami has reopened after a $100 million redesign that marks the resort’s first full renovation in nearly 25 years.
The refreshed oceanfront Florida property introduces a new contemporary coastal aesthetic led by Miami-based Gencom with design contributions from Hart Howerton, DesignAgency and Chapi Chapo Design.

This next chapter of The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami celebrates our expansive landscape, luxury oceanfront accommodations and vibrant setting designed for global travelers and locals alike, the statement continued.
The renovation has added to the arrival and public spaces with open-air architecture, expanded views and natural materials influenced by the island setting. A new glass façade is designed to bring daylight into the lobby, while a fountain terrace extends into tropical gardens and open pathways.
Guestrooms and suites have been redesigned with custom furnishings and palettes based on the surrounding landscape. Floor-to-ceiling windows are designed to enhance ocean or garden views and many rooms include private terraces. The Presidential Suite remains the resort’s largest accommodation, offering more than 2,600 square-feet of indoor-outdoor living space with views of Biscayne Bay.
Dining has been expanded with six new culinary and cocktail venues and the fitness center has been updated as well. Meanwhile, The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Key Biscayne, now spans 30,000 square-feet and features 16 treatment rooms, three couples’ suites, a salon and new wellness spaces including the Spa Sanctuary and Sensory Spa Garden.
Recreation amenities include refreshed pools, expanded water sports and the updated Cliff Drysdale Tennis Center, and retail spaces have also been revamped.
