Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort undergoes design renovation

The Westin Jekyll Island Beach Resort on one of Georgia’s Golden Isles recently unveiled the results of an extensive renovation.

The recent top-to-bottom overhaul includes redesigned rooms and suites, a transformed lobby with ocean views and refreshed meetings and event spaces.

The renovated guestrooms and suites have been designed to reflect the coastal setting with blue- and sand-colored accents, shiplap wall panels, lots of natural light and fabrics in neutral, calming tones, according to the property. Select guestrooms include private balconies with new furnishings and views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Refreshed dining outlets also offer revamped spaces and menus as the result of a collaboration with Chef Lindsay Autry, a three-time James Beard award winner. Three distinct restaurants have opened, including Willet’s Lowcountry, which serves coastal Southern cuisine; Pour Tabby, a bar that sits adjacent to an oversized veranda; and a poolside grill known as Salty’s.

“I was inspired by the overwhelming character and history of Jekyll Island,” Autry said in a statement. “The goal with the new concepts was to celebrate that character, embrace regional produce and ingredients, and create experiences that will draw in Westin guests and visitors ready for a fresh take on dining on the island.”
