Hotel owner Windsor Aughtry Company has completed $5 million in renovations to both the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke in Virginia and Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown in Louisiana.
The upgrades were carried out in partnership with Greenville, S.C.-based management firm Hospitality America. The Roanoke property also marks the first SpringHill Suites by Marriott hotel in the Hospitality America portfolio and the fourth Marriott brand under its management.
“These renovations demonstrate Windsor Aughtry’s dedication to long-term value creation in the communities where we invest,” Bo Aughtry, chairman and CEO of Windsor Aughtry, said in a statement. “By continually reinvesting in our properties, we are ensuring that guests enjoy high-quality experiences while also supporting local economic growth.”
“We are grateful for Windsor Aughtry’s continued investment in these hotels. Their commitment to elevating the guest experience allows our team to deliver on our promise of exceptional hospitality and we are proud to bring their vision to life through day-to-day operations,” said Ben Campbell, CEO of Hospitality America.
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Roanoke has 127 guestrooms, a lobby bar, indoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, 24-hour market, onsite laundry and 856 square-feet of meeting space. Renovations included fully refreshed guestrooms and suites, a redesigned lobby and public areas and updates aligned with Marriott’s latest brand standards. Located near Berglund Center and Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the hotel is roughly one hour from the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Baton Rouge Downtown—situated in the city’s business district near Louisiana’s Old State Capitol—includes meeting space, a business center, fitness center and convenience market. Renovations included all-new guestrooms, updated public spaces and expanded food-and-beverage offerings. A key enhancement is the addition of self-serve beer and wine taps, introducing an amenity designed to appeal to both business and leisure travelers.
