IHG Hotels & Resorts has approved Agilysys' cloud-native InfoGenesis point-of-sale platform has been approved for use across its global portfolio. The approval positions Agilysys as a POS provider for all IHG segments, including Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, Essentials, Suites and Partner brands. The platform is already in use at select IHG resort properties and its integration with the franchisor's property management systems is designed to provide real-time access to guest transactions.
“Approving Agilysys InfoGenesis as a point-of-sale option for our hotels is part of our initiative to offer a best-in-class suite of technology for IHG hotels,” Andrea Cole, IHG’s VP of hotel technology, said in a statement.
Purpose-built for hospitality, the InfoGenesis ecosystem is designed to deliver unified guest- and staff-facing experiences across food and beverage, retail, activity centers, minibars and non-traditional service areas. The platform supports iOS, Windows and Android devices and can operate securely via Wi-Fi or cellular networks, enabling mobile transactions and self-service ordering in settings such as rooftops, pools, beaches, event spaces, Grab-and-Go markets and guestrooms.
The platform includes a suite of expanded capabilities, such as guest self-service tools, mobile ordering and payment functionality, P2PE-secure payment solutions and integrated digital menu management.
