Memphis-based Cooper Hotels acquired the 107-room Hampton Inn Naples Central in Naples, Fla. from Highgate in a transaction brokered by Hunter Hotel Advisors. The deal was done by Robert Taylor, executive vice president, and Sophia Pittaluga, senior vice president, out of Hunter's Miami office.
Built in 1990 and renovated in 2023, the Hampton Inn Naples Central is a recently modernized, institutional-quality hotel that underwent $4.1 million in capital improvements, including comprehensive guestroom and public space renovations, upgraded Wi-Fi, new televisions, and refreshed FF&E. The property has an outdoor pool, fitness center, and 625 square feet of meeting space.
This marks Cooper’s second hotel in Naples, joining the Hilton Naples just two miles north of the Hampton Inn property and its seventh hotel in Florida.
“Cooper Hotels is delighted to have added the Hampton Inn Naples Central to our portfolio of 17 exclusively Hilton branded properties,” Cooper Hotels President and CEO Pace Cooper said in a statement. “We are also very pleased with the assistance provided by the professionals at Hunter Hotel Advisors, who helped make this transaction possible.”
Strategically located on Tamiami Trail, the Hampton Inn Naples Central sits within close proximity to some of the city’s most dynamic demand generators, including Waterside Shops, Naples Beach Club (a Four Seasons Resort), Downtown Naples, and Naples Airport, as well as 10 exclusive golf courses within a six-mile radius. Recognized as one of Florida’s premier lodging investment submarkets, Naples combines exceptional leisure demand with high barriers to entry, offering a distinctive opportunity in a supply-constrained market.
“We’re proud to have delivered another strong result for our client,” said Pittaluga. “Naples remains one of Florida’s most sought-after hospitality markets, and our team continues to be the most active in helping owners and investors achieve their hotel investment goals across Naples and beyond. The sale process generated robust interest from a diverse pool of investors, underscoring the strength of the asset’s prime location in the heart of Naples. We look forward to tracking the property’s continued success under Cooper Hotels’ ownership and upcoming renovation.”
