Schahet Hotels acquires Indiana Homewood Suites

Schahet Hotels has purchased a 137-room Homewood Suites hotel in Carmel, Ind., for an undisclosed price. Commercial real estate brokerage firm Marcus & Millichap oversaw the transaction.

“The level of understanding between the buyer, the seller and the brand was the reason we were able to achieve a successful outcome on this transaction,” Michael Klar, director investments, said in a statement. “Constant communication and strong rapport from both sides were absolutely crucial in moving this deal forward. It was the consistent collaboration, transparency and willingness to work together that ultimately allowed us to bring this transaction across the finish line.”

Klar and Ebrahim Valliani, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, in association with Josh Caruana, Marcus & Millichap’s Indiana broker of record, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller and procured the buyer. The transaction received additional support from Chris Gomes and Allan Miller of the Miller-Gomes Hotel Team.
“Working with Michael and his team was a real pleasure,” said Greg Schahet, president of Schahet Hotels. “They were informative, attentive and responsive, and instrumental in completing the transaction. We’re glad Michael was involved and helped us achieve our goals, and we highly recommend him and his team.”
